This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it.
– Jos 1:8

The transcription ministry does not involve mere typing of sermon transcripts, but in such times, the Word of God speaks once again or even reveals another important aspect that one may not take notice before. This will provide a great contribution in our personal meditations on the Word.

How many of us reflect back on the preached Word of that week? Most of us no longer think of important points from the sermon, even though sermons are meant to prepare and equip us to face our days for the week ahead.

The transcription ministry does not only help us in remembering audible sermons, transformed to written type able to be read many times. Men are weak, forgetful creatures. How often have we forgotten the Word we have read or heard? It is not rare, even, for us to forget that God has sent his only Son to redeem our sins. We forget that God is everywhere. We forget that God will come the second time in the time we do not expect.

When we let go of our meditations on the Word, our minds will tend to incline towards sin. The more we forget the Word, we will be more daring in committing sin.
